I'm Steven Dueck — also known as Stevie D — a Canadian bassist with a deep love for the bass guitar. I've spent years developing my bass playing across a wide range of genres, from rock and country to funk, R&B, POP and dance music.

My playing style is rooted in groove and pocket. I believe the bass guitar's job is to lock in with the drummer, serve the song, and make people feel something — whether that's on a stage or in a recording studio.

I believe it is important to learn accurate timing in your bass playing development.. this will help you become tight as you play along to the lessons. This process will tremendously help you create feel and style in your playing while keeping you accurate and in time with your notes and transitions.
